Carbon Wave 360 vs. traditional or steam saunas
Many people who are familiar with a traditional sauna find that the temperature needed (180º-200º F) for your body to sweat is too hot and uncomfortable to handle for an extended period of time. Reports of feeling claustrophobic are also not uncommon. A traditional sauna must rely on an indirect means to heat your body. First, it must heat the air. Then the hot air in turn, heats your body. In contrast, with our Carbon Wave 360 infrared saunas, less than 20% of the far infrared energy heats the air. This leaves over 80% available to be directly converted to heat within our bodies.

The human body, like the sun, already emits infrared heat. The use of an infrared sauna allows you to enjoy all the benefits of the sun without the damaging effects of its ultra violet rays. An infrared sauna operating between 110º-150º F matches the frequency of our bodies 9.4 microns. This allows the radiant heat to be absorbed up to 1.5" below the skin to heat fat cells and penetrate muscles more effectively. Carbon Wave 360 vs. Rod or Ceramic Heating
Our Saunas utilize Carbon Wave 360 Technology for maximum efficiency and comfort, offering a broad distribution of heat and greater amount of absorption. Each of our panels has an effective surface area of 576 inches. This far exceeds that of common heating rods and coils which typically range from 26-56 square inches. Comparing a ceramic heating rod to Carbon Wave 360 Technology is like comparing a portable floor heater to a central HVAC system. Ceramic rods or coils produce infrared heat through small glass tubes placed strategically throughout the sauna. These small surface area heaters are required to run at extremely high temperatures. This causes two problems. First, the sauna may have "hot spots," which are areas of intense heat, while others, may have very little or no infrared heat. Secondly, because the ceramic rods are so hot, persons who have used ceramic rod heating systems have reported getting red marks on their backs from leaning too close to the rods.
